Mount View/Hilltop Elementary

   In Fall 2021  I started teaching K-5 music at Mount View and Hilltop Elementary in Highline School District. It was a year of MUCH learning as I had not taught K-5 before! Fortunately, I had 2 great co-music teachers at both schools that helped me immensely. It was also a challenging year, as Covid didn't allow us to have live concerts until the end of the year. To keep the students engaged we did student led videos in all my classes. Students picked the songs, wrote storyboards,  filmed and directed, using Green screens I bought to make it more interesting. By the end of the year between my 2 schools, we produced 14 Holiday videos, 2 Spring videos, and a Veterans Day video. .  A large MLK video project involving all my classes was derailed when I got Covid and was out for awhile. At the end of the year, the Mount View choir was asked to sing at the school carnival, and graduation.
